- I come from a long line of people who have never been near the open water. To my knowledge, I am the first Attaway to make a career out of going to sea. Although I have worked aboard many different kinds of boats, I finally settled down with Research Vessels. I find the job infinately fascinating, and have spent countless hours swapping sea stories with fellow mariners. You would think having spent so much time offshore, it would be odd to consider I live such a landlocked existence in Ohio. I wouldn't have it any other way. The land and people continue to inspire me everyday, and I am pleased to call it home.
